Erika Chen, FNP-BC

LIC Lifestyle and Beauty is owned and operated by Erika Chen, FNP-BC, a board certified nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Erika earned her BBA in marketing from Texas A&M University, and her BSN and MSN degrees from Columbia University.

Prior to her nursing career, Erika was a business manager for the popular skincare brand Philosophy and a makeup artist for MAC cosmetics, cultivating her love of the beauty industry. She is triple-certified in facial injectables and previously worked for a state-of-the-art plastic surgery center in Tribeca. Erika is particularly focused on the clinical and safety aspects of aesthetic medicine and enjoys spending extra time collaborating with her patients to achieve their desired results.

In addition to her work in aesthetics, Erika has always been passionate about using food and lifestyle changes as medicine. She is a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and is certified in culinary coaching through Harvard Medical School, as well as yoga for cardiac care through the Prema Yoga Institute. As a highly respected nurse practitioner with experience in primary care, emergency medicine, and plastic surgery, Erika has repeatedly witnessed the powerful connection between physical and mental health. With this in mind, she takes an integrative approach to beauty and wellness, treating her patients from both the inside out and the outside in.

Having previously lived in Taiwan and Colombia, Erika is comfortable working with both Mandarin and Spanish speaking patients. As the founder of the LIC Ladies’ Dining and Social Club, Erika wanted to make living beautifully convenient for her neighbors, and thus LIC LAB was born!
